What is it?

This is an app for The Pomodoro Technique®. It tries to strictly follow the rules of The Pomodoro Technique®.

What is it not?

This is NOT a GTD replacement tool. You should still keep everything in your GTD tool like:

• Evernote
• Wunderlist
• Things 2
• etc.

This app uses only your browser's local storage, so it won't be able to sync tasks between your devices. Pomodoro helps you to focus on your tasks. Every morning you should collect a few tasks from your GTD system you want to accomplish today and start working on them.

Valid pomodoro

If pomodoro rings you'll earn a pomodoro completed sign next to your task.

Unplanned & Urgent

During internal and external interruptions, you'll add items to your Unplanned & Urgent list. At the end of the day, you should move the remaining to your GTD system. Remember: You should keep everything in one place when using GTD.

Activity inventory

I'm breaking only one rule here: I'm not maintaining an Activity Inventory. You should keep that in your GTD tool of choice. You should only store your daily items here. After every day, the remainder items should be moved to your GTD system.

Internal and External Interrupts

Clicking on either of the buttons will create a new entry into the Unplanned & Urgent table and also create an internal or external sign next to your current task.

Features to come:

• Daily and Weekly statistics
• Estimates - How many pomodoros are required to complete a task

• A Pomodoro Consists of 25 minutes Plus a Five-Minute Break
• After Every Four Pomodoros Comes a 15-30 Minute Break
• The Pomodoro Is Indivisible. There are no half or quarter Pomodoros
• If a Pomodoro Begins, It Has to Ring:
  • If a Pomodoro is interrupted definitively - i.e. the interruption isn't handled - it's considered void, never begun, and it can't be recorded with an X.
  • If an activity is completed once a Pomodoro has already begun, continue reviewing the same activity until the Pomodoro rings
• Protect the Pomodoro. Inform effectively, negotiate quickly to reschedule the interruption, call back the person who interrupted you as agreed.
• If It Lasts More Than 5-7 Pomodoros, Break It Down. Complex activities should be divided into several activities.
• If It Lasts Less Than One Pomodoro, Add It Up. Simple tasks can be combined.
• Results Are Achieved Pomodoro after Pomodoro.
• The Next Pomodoro Will Go Better.
